On March 17th, twelve enthusiastic members gathered for the Out and About Event at Southsea Seafront. It was a delight to welcome some fresh faces, and despite the brisk chill in the air, the morning was graced with enchanting clouds and captivating light.
The seafront has undergone a real transformation. It boasts a beautifully refurbished promenade, charming shelters, and traditional piers and monuments that add a touch of nostalgia. It’s truly a destination worth revisiting.
The main focus of our gathering was to immerse ourselves in the art of ‘waterscapes’, as we shared innovative ideas and techniques. Members took a diverse collection of long exposures, striking infrared images, intriguing abstract multi-exposures, and insightful observations of the photographic opportunities that await in this interesting setting.
