Hi, to all you young folk who would like to take up photography as a hobby or would like to learn and improve on what you already know.
We have recently started a junior section whose aim is for you to learn and develop the technical and practical aspects of photography. You will also be encouraged to develop ideas about what makes a great picture, being creative and a chance to let your imagination run wild.
To support the junior section, we have created a Closed Facebook Group where you can show a picture, explain why you took it and receive valuable critiquing and comments.
As well as indoor meetings, there will be many times when the group will be encouraged go out to take pictures under the supervision of experienced photographer/s; having first been given a specific task to meet.
Being part of the Bishops Waltham Photographic Society (BWPS) there will be a vast amount of knowledge and experience to draw from and a chance to submit images into the society’s competitions.
Currently the group is meeting online via Zoom but when circumstances allow the Junior group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in St Peter’s Church Hall, Free Street, Bishop’s Waltham, SO321EE, next to the library.
