Our Out and About to the Watercress Line was a fun and successful day out with a perfect excuse for plenty of steam train travel. With so many re-enactors and people in costume at each station who seemed to enjoy being photographed there were easy opportunities to practice our portrait skills, and we even managed to photograph Winston Churchill and Charles de Gaulle. The weather was cloudy but at least that prevented harsh highlights. After several hours of furious snapping we headed home with the sounds of Glen Miller still going round our heads, Mary.
