Trevor Morecraft LRPS, “An explosion and a deserted town” 2nd February 2023

A talk in the hall at 7.30 pm Thursday 2nd February 2023

Trevor is a keen amateur photographer and has been taking photos across several genres for many years, including a longstanding and ongoing ‘Photo a Day’ project. He is a Past President of the Winchester Photographic Society and continues to play an active part in the running of the club. A lifetime engineer, Trevor enjoys the technical and editing side.

The Talk

Trevor has visited Chernobyl and the town of Prypat on two occasions, in 2016 and 2019, over 4 days. In his talk, he will explore the explosion history and the Reactor Control Room before heading to the long-abandoned town of Prypyat. Exploring the town, he visits the ‘Call of Duty” swimming pool, a High School, the Kindergarden, the Train Station, the famous Amusement Park and more …. He ends on an outrageous conspiracy theory ….
