The annual Southampton Mela saw 4 members attending. Primarily the Mela is a celebration of music and dance from different cultures, so there were plenty of very colourful artists to photograph. With strong sunshine causing a lot of bright reflections and highlights, yet dark backgrounds to the stages, photography was quite challenging. The crowds and stall holders meant we could also try some candid shots- below are a few of our efforts, Mary.
