Snowdrops at Little Court, near Winchester

After a weeks’ postponement due to adverse weather, namely Storm Dennis, ten members had the opportunity to visit a well known garden by private appointment this weekend. Little Court opens throughout the year under the National Garden Scheme – of course early openings are to view the fabulous display of Snowdrops, Crocus and other early flowers. The garden has held up well after all the rain due to the efforts of owner Patricia Elkington and her ‘team’ including son and grandson! Not only were we privileged to be able to wander around the garden at our leisure – Patricia was also on hand to share her knowledge about the snowdrops and other plantings. A lovely morning – with no rain (or not much), great company and a chance to support the NGS.

BWPS would like to thank Mrs Elkington for this opportunity to photograph her wonderful garden and wish her all the best for year ahead. Below are some of our efforts.
