A talk in the hall at 7.30 pm Thursday, 1st December 2022
Alongside his personal photography and projects, David is a talented freelance professional photographer known for his broad and diverse mix of commissions and projects. He covers several different genres of photography: events, travel and architecture (often abstract), portraiture and street photography, and enjoys a mix of commissions, including supporting several charities.
The Talk
“Concentrate on what you love” is sage advice for photographers, but personally, there are so many different genres and aspects of the whole photographic process that I thoroughly enjoy, it doesn’t help me much!
In my presentation, I will show plenty of images and some of the stories behind the shots.
Most of my photography is my personal hobby (verging on an obsession!), but I’m privileged to have a reasonably successful photography business, support several charities and heavily involved in Winchester Photographic Society for many years.
Whilst sharing with you an eclectic mix of people, street, documentary, events, dance, music, theatre, architecture, travel, motorsport and commercial images. With such broad interests, almost certainly a “… Master of None.”
However, I will give an insight into my methods, offer some practical tips and hopefully answer your questions along the way.
