The out and about to Alresford Watercress Festival saw a lovely day with ideal weather for walking around Alresford. The event is very popular and saw a very large number of people. The event started with a procession at 10.30am with bags of free watercress being thrown to the crowds. There were many stalls and in particular a good variety of food stalls together with music events and cookery demonstrations to entertain everyone. To escape the crowds we took a walk along the river and saw some very pretty cottages and wildlife which proved a nice distraction. Thank you to all who attended, a very enjoyable day.
